Color countries on a world map in seconds
The Map Chart Maker turns a plain world map into a color-coded chart. Pick a color group, then click countries on the map or type their names to add them. Click a country again to remove it, or click it with another group active to move it. Is the map chart maker free?
Yes. Coloring countries, adding a title and legend, sharing a link and downloading the PNG are all free, with no account required.
How many colors can I use?
Up to eight color groups. Each group has its own legend label and color, which you can change with the color picker. A country belongs to one group at a time — clicking it while another group is active moves it there.
How do I export my map?
Click Download PNG. The image is captured at your screen's resolution and includes the map title and legend (if turned on), drawn as clean white cards, plus a small mapimator.com badge.
Can I share my map with someone else?
Yes. Your colors, legend labels and title are stored in the page's URL as you work, so Copy link gives you a link that reopens exactly the same map. Nothing is uploaded or saved on a server.
Can I animate my map?
