Accounts & eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old—or the age of majority in your jurisdiction—to create a Mapimator account. You are responsible for safeguarding account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your workspace. Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use or security breach.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the platform or assist others in doing so. Prohibited behaviour includes:

• Uploading unlawful, infringing, or defamatory content.
• Attempting to reverse engineer or interfere with the service or security features.
• Using automated tools to scrape, index, or harvest data beyond documented APIs.
• Misrepresenting your identity or misusing the service to send unsolicited communications.

We may suspend access if we reasonably believe a workspace violates these terms or applicable law.

Subscriptions, billing & cancellation

Paid subscriptions renew automatically on a monthly or annual basis, depending on the plan you choose. You may cancel at any time from your workspace settings; your plan will remain active through the end of the current billing cycle. We will notify workspace owners of price changes at least 30 days in advance.

Refund requests for unused time are evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Government-mandated refunds will be honoured where required by local law.

Intellectual property

Mapimator retains all rights to the platform, documentation, and branding. You retain ownership of projects, uploads, and exports that you create through the service. By using Mapimator you grant us a limited licence to host, process, and display your content solely to provide the service.

Confidentiality & feedback

We treat workspace data as confidential and only access it to provide support, troubleshoot issues, or comply with legal obligations. If you share feedback or suggestions, you grant us permission to use that input without obligation or compensation.

Warranties & disclaimers

Mapimator is provided “as is.” We disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation of the service.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Mapimator’s total liability for any claim arising from these terms is limited to the greater of: (a) the amounts you paid to us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) USD $100. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in San Francisco County, California, unless otherwise required by applicable law.

Changes & contact

We may update these terms to reflect product changes or legal requirements. If changes are material, we will notify workspace owners via email or in-app messaging. Continued use of Mapimator after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. Questions can be directed to terms@mapimator.com.
